We live in a fast paced world. Instant everything. We get frustrated when it takes too long to download something, we want food that we can microwave, we have "breaking news" the moment it hits and we work and live trying to maximize the hours in the day. But when was the last time you really did NOTHING?? When was the last time you allowed yourself to not be productive? To rest. To simply "be" and slow down and breathe... Being mindfull and not mindfull is the key to long term health and well-being.
Sometimes life is very challenging.You push and it pushes back harder. You get weary. You move faster. You get tired, you drink more coffee. And so on...
Studies have shown that children laugh up to 400 times a day. How many times have you laughed today? It's true that these days there is not much to laugh about, but it's so important to balance all the stress of life with things that bring back your peace of mind. Being still and allowing yourself to rest and re-vitalize, even for just 10 minutes a day, will make a world of difference for you.
Unplug. Really. Find a beach, find a mountain, find a chair or a yoga mat. Find a tree and sit underneath it. Whatever works for you that allows you to be still and unwind. Move toward anything that gives you more lightness, peace of mind and balance. Do more of that. Every day.
